KARACHI, Pakistan—Pakistan’s National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) recently partnered with KYAF Corporation (KYAF) to upgrade the performing arts studio experience with world-class HARMAN Professional Solutions audio systems.

NAPA is a world-renowned cultural institution, offering comprehensive courses and workshops in theater and performing arts. NAPA’s curriculum combines the academic rigors of a university with a free-flowing, independent approach that instills artistic confidence and understanding. Since students spend most of their time working in a studio environment, NAPA hired KYAF to install cutting-edge digital audio systems to ensure premium sound for threatre includes drama, music and live performances.

“NAPA trains its students in a studio-like environment to develop their understanding of theater culture,” said Ahmed Bawaney, Owner of KYAF. “NAPA also hosts performances by international troupes throughout the year and every audio component chosen was based on performance guidelines. After a rigorous exercise of sound testing across various brands, we selected HARMAN audio solutions because of their excellent sound quality and coverage—they bring the performances to life.”

KYAF Corporation equipped the studio with JBL Professional speaker systems, including VRX932LA line array systems, PRX818XLF subwoofers and EON 612 portable speakers. The team powered the speakers with Crown XTi Series amplifiers. To ensure clarity and balance throughout the venue, KYAF Corporation supplied a wide range of AKG microphones, including WMS420 wireless microphones, D5 vocal microphones, P4 instrument microphones, HM1000 hanging stage microphones and a Drum Set Session 1 drum microphone set. KYAF Corporation also provided a Soundcraft Si Impact digital mixing console to ensure professional mixes and dbx processors to further refine the sound.

“At NAPA, we host a wide range of world-class performances throughout the year by artists from around the globe,” said Ashad Mehmood, Engineer, NAPA. “We required a high-end audio system that delivers impeccable sound without the aid of a rental company. KYAF suggested a comprehensive HARMAN audio solution to meet our diverse requirements and we have been very impressed with the results.”

“It’s been our pleasure to collaborate with NAPA and bring engaging audio-visual experiences to the forefront of their program,” said Ramesh Jayaraman, VP & GM, HARMAN Professional Solutions, APAC. “We thank KYAF for their unwavering confidence in HARMAN products, delivering quality sound during engaging lectures and immersive performances.”
