Soundcraft Flying High!
Artist and impresario, Tony Moore is launching his new concept — The Airwaves Tour — on August 17, flying to 15 UK airfields and performing a gig at each … all in the space of nine days, and in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
To help him hit the heights of his performance at each stop, Tony will be using a lightweight gig set up comprising a new Soundcraft MFX8 (one of the new Lexicon-equipped, Soundcraft FX mixer family) and JBL Eon 10 powered speakers.
Tony said, “I contacted my friends at Soundcraft as we use their mixers and other Harman equipment in The Bedford and the Regal Room for all our events. The new MFX8 mixer fitted the bill perfectly; not only does it deliver the high quality audio I require, but being equipped with onboard Lexicon effects, it saves me taking additional rack gear and reduces weight, especially important for this gig!”
Newly qualified pilot Tony will be flying solo in a Cessna 172, armed only with the Harman Pro gear, his acoustic guitar and keyboards and will perform songs from his current album Perfect and Beautiful plus hits from his past.
All the shows will be free and open to the general public. Other established artists he's worked with over the years have also promised to make guest appearances. Audience members will be asked to make a donation to the charity on the day of the performance and, if they put their name ‘in the hat’, they could win a Gibson acoustic guitar and a trip in Tony's Cessna.
Tony's career is impressive. An original member of Iron Maiden, he has also toured the world as a keyboard player for Cutting Crew (I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight) during the 80's. Since then he has helped launch the careers of Paulo Nutini, KT Tunstall, James Morrison and Damien Rice at his various London venues — The Kashmir Klub, The Bedford and The Regal Rooms. Also an artist in his own right he co-wrote and produced Marie D'ubaldo's solo album (writer for Celine Dion, Robert Miles and KD Lang) as well as recently completing work on Perfect and Beautiful – a collection of some of his finest work to date. His efforts for his outstanding contribution to the British Music Industry were rewarded recently when he was inducted into the 'Music Managers Forum Roll Of Honour'.
