CLUTCH OF DUTCH SALES FOR SOUNDCRAFT
Dutch PA company DSP Rental has used its new Soundcraft MH2 32-channel console for its regular gig at the Niet te Missen free music festival. FOH engineer Olaf Duffhuës reports that the console's flexibility, being equally at home on front-of-house or monitor mixing duty, was the main reason for buying it.
"But of course the fine parametric EQ, high-pass filter, switchable aux/group faders and eight VCAs are also very useful!"
Duffhuës confirms that the Soundcraft brand is still strong in the Netherlands, a fact emphasised by other recent sales of a 32-channel MH3 to Soundworks, and a 24-channel MH2 to Bourgonje.
Two venues, Paard in Den Haag and Perron55 near Eindhoven, have also invested in MH2 consoles, while also in the south of Holland De Effenaar recently selected 40- and 32-channel Soundcraft MH3 dual-mode consoles for use in the FOH and foldback positions of its smaller room, and a 48-channel SM20 for monitor duties in the large concert space.
