Mark Terry, president of the Harman Pro Group, has confirmed the appointment of the experienced Andy Trott, who will take over responsibility for all brands within the Group — encompassing Soundcraft, BSS, Amek and DAR — with immediate effect.
An experienced engineer/technologist, Andy brings eight years’ experience at PACE Micro Technology, where he was Director of Technology and Strategic Development, and more recently CEO of PACE's Networks and Connected Devices Division.
However, as a musician he has a close affinity with the industry, and earlier spent four years with mixing console manufacturers, Studiomaster.
Commenting on the appointment, the new MD said: "I have a great passion for both music and technology. I am an active musician and a self-confessed 'techno-junkie', so having a job which encompasses both of these areas is very rewarding.
“Soundcraft, BSS and Amek in particular have some very high calibre people and a long history of developing world-beating technology, so the foundations are already in place to build upon — and this excites me. It is one of the truly great music companies in the world and I am delighted to now have the responsibility of leading them into a new era."
